Current Joint Research:

Development of mathematical programming-based scheduling of train drivers. Three approaches being pursued include a column generation approach, a more traditional approach of combining backtrack-based enumeration of individual routes and set covering/partitioning problem via Lagrange relaxation, and a meta-heuristic approach.
